Timers and notifications
Open About & Support → Timer reliability to check every required setting and schedule a five-second Lock Screen test. Android uses notifications, Alarms & reminders, a dedicated alarm channel, and optional Do Not Disturb access. iOS uses a Time Sensitive local notification; Sounds and Lock Screen alerts must remain enabled for Purrna.
On iPhone, standard notifications still respect the Ring/Silent switch and alert volume. Only Apple-approved Critical Alerts can override both mute and Focus, and Purrna does not currently request that restricted entitlement.
Background audio
Ambient audio can continue during a user-started practice when the screen is locked. Use Purrna’s controls or your device’s media controls to pause or stop playback.
Cloud backup and restore
Cloud backup is a free, optional feature that stores your durable progress with Firebase. Open About & Support → Cloud & Membership to sync, restore, delete the cloud backup, or turn backup off. Signing in with Apple or Google links the backup to your account so it follows you across devices and reinstalls. If a save conflict appears, compare the dates, sessions, and XP before choosing which complete copy to keep.
Restore Purchases restores Premium access from the current Apple or Google store account. Restore Cloud Progress restores progress. These are separate actions. Because backups (not purchases) live in Firebase, a linked-account backup can be restored on iOS or Android; store purchases remain tied to the store account that bought them.
Resetting and deleting data
Clearing the app’s storage or uninstalling removes local practice history, settings, progress, custom breathing patterns, and companion unlocks from that device. If cloud backup was enabled, delete that backup separately first if you do not want it available for a later restore. Deleting a cloud backup does not remove local progress.
For purchase-data deletion, include the anonymous RevenueCat support identifier shown in Cloud & Membership when contacting support. Store transaction records and subscriptions must be managed through Apple or Google.
